Taber Cornfest 2022

The beloved Taber Cornfest will be returning to the town of Taber for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020. 

For the past two years, one of Taber’s biggest events and the greatest celebration of corn in Southern Alberta has not been able to happen due to the ongoing changes and issues around the world caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, however, Taber is more than excited to have their signature festival back on. 

Taber Cornfest will be hosted at confederation park in the town of Taber August 25th to 27th. The festival will see two days of performances on the main stage, with a wide variety of performances on the performance stage throughout each day! That’s only the beginning of the fun though!

The fun starts on Thursday August 25th with a BBQ and parade in the town of Taber. From there will be Farmer’s Markets, a Beer Garden, Wild Rose Shows, and a sneak peek at the midway that will be operating on the festival ground the following two days! 

The next morning on Friday August 26th starts off with the Western Tractor pancake breakfast. The festival grounds will feature an arts and crafts market, a top shot hockey contest, a bungee jump, corn bread contest, a midway with games and rides, a juggler, a chili cook off, and even more! With a day, so packed full of incredible things to see and do at the Taber Cornfest, you should get there early so you can get it all done! 

The last day of Cornfest is Saturday August 27th and the day kicks off once again with a pancake breakfast hosted by Taber IGA & Kiwanis, followed by the 30th annual Taber Cornfest Fun Run to burn off all those carbs! After the fun run attendees can find a corn stuffing contest, corn tasting and eating competitions, go karts, a petting zoo, and fireworks to end off the night. There will also be many events form Friday that will be present on Saturday as well.
