Street Machine Weekend 2023

Every year, car enthusiasts come together for one weekend in Lethbridge. It's filled with classic cars, revving motors, and a Shine & Show that attracts people from across borders. Street Machine Weekend has been a staple signature event in Lethbridge for over a decade, and it only gets bigger every year! Below is a list of all the official Street Machine Weekend events around the city!

Friday July 14th

Tourism Lethbridge Street Machine Weekend Poker Run

While there aren’t any official Street Machine Weekend events happening on Friday, Tourism Lethbridge in collaboration with Street Machine Weekend is putting on a Poker Run! The Poker Run will have classic car owners and enthusiasts heading out to six unique locations in the city.

Pick a card at each location to build the best possible poker hand, and see how your hand stacks up against the rest! The best hand at the end of the run wins!

Participants can play whenever they want between 12 - 5 PM on July 14th, but they MUST be at the Pure Casino Lethbridge by 5 PM to be eligible for prizes.

 Saturday July 15th

100 Ft Drag Races at Exhibition Park

Start your engines, and may the best drag racer, win! The 100-foot drag races kick off the weekend of official Street Machine Weekend events with six classes of high-octane fun! Registration starts at 7 AM and the races themselves at 10 AM. It's $10 for each spectator’s entry into the spectating area, with kids 13 and under getting in for free. Spectator gates open at 9 AM so make sure to get there early to get a good seat!

Sunday July 16th

Show and Shine at Galt Gardens

Street Wheelers Weekend wouldn’t be complete without a show and shine in Galt Gardens to end things off! From 8 AM – 12 PM, drivers can register their classic cars in the Show & Shine, where they can then spend the day in the gardens speaking with other car enthusiasts and admirers. Show & Shines are always a bit more fun with some friendly competition, so stick around until 3 PM to see the awards for this year’s Show & Shine handed out to the best of the best in Galt Gardens!

"Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience," takes some of the most beloved and cannonic works from Vincent Van Gogh, and expands them into 360˚ immersive experiences. Each painting comes to life, as it fills the rooms of the exhibit, leaving audiences with a chance to connect with some of the greatest works of Van Gogh unlike ever before. Now, for the first time ever, the Beyond Van Gogh Immersive Experience is arriving in Lethbridge at the Enmax Centre. Don’t miss your opportunity to experience Van Gogh’s greatest works like never before, right here in the windy City!

Lethbridge Bulls Vs the Moose Jaw Miller Express at Spitz Stadium

If you’re looking for something to do after the poker run on Friday, July 14th, then look no further than the baseball game happening at Spitz Stadium that night! The Lethbridge Bulls will be facing off against the best Moose Jaw Miller Express. Join the crowd in cheering for the home team, or help maintain a friendly rivalry by cheering for the Mosse Jaw Miller Expresses. Just make sure you don’t miss out on the Ball game that’s happening Friday night!
